Bedford Falls River Homes for Sale and Lifestyle
Bedford at Falls River is a large award-winning neighborhood in North Raleigh. Being named “Community of the Year” three times by the North Carolina Home Builders Association. It’s also been ranked among the “Top 100 Best-Planned Master Communities”. Bedford at Falls River comprises mostly craftsman style homes with large front porches. This planned community has small townhomes with no garage in the mid-150k to large custom homes up to $900,000-$1,000,000. The community offers four areas of townhomes at different price points and locations, custom homes, and a production builder section. If you’re looking for a community feel with nice amenities, close to schools, shopping and not far from the highway then you won’t find a better place than Bedford at Falls River.
This popular neighborhood provides vast open spaces by setting aside 200 of its 600 acres for open spaces and 2 lakes. The character of Bedford starts with a clock tower in the middle of the neighborhood surrounded by brownstone style townhouses and open grass areas. It provides pocket playgrounds/parks, wooded buffers, circular intersections, basketball court, tennis courts, greenway trails, sand volleyball court, covered picnic areas, and a clubhouse. The two pools feature a 100 ft slide, lap pool, and kids play pool with water features.
The Shoppes of Bedford opened in 2009 and offers a Bistro/tavern, fitness business, Italian Ice cream shop, daycare center, a florist shop, a Sushi bar, and a cleaner’s. Bedford sits between Falls Lake and 540 and close to the Falls Lake dam and park. Falls Village Town Shopping Centers are around the corner and this is one of my favorite neighborhoods for its timeless architecture and landscaping. Tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and large open areas for all kinds of outdoor activities. To see a map and get information on the 27.5 mile Greenway systems adjacent to this neighborhood go here.
